Claros Mortgage Trust, Inc. is a commercial real estate finance company that focuses on originating senior and subordinate loans on transitional CRE assets located in U.S. markets. The transitional CRE assets are properties that require repositioning, renovation, rehabilitation, leasing, development or redevelopment or other value-added elements in order to maximize value. Its objective is to provide debt capital for transitional CRE assets and, in doing so, to generate risk-adjusted returns for its stockholders over time, primarily through dividends. The company was founded on April 29, 2015 and is headquartered in New York, NY.
