I am looking for some dirt-cheap stocks and was wondering about a screen that would select stocks with the biggest %price decline this year.
The yearly %performance filter doesn't work well here, as a price decline could occur at different points of time throughout the year.
Any ideas?

Screener, performance, performance for the year. If you want to screen out the penny stocks, go to price and put your parameter. Have fun because there's a lot of them.

Stockman, I'm looking for charts like this. The yearly performance is around -50%, but the decline from July was 80%. I'd like to screen by that -80% value. The problem is to specify the time frame. Thanks a lot.

How about sorting the quarter column and than scan the year number to the quarter for the mix you want?

Yes, I'm applying various combinations of the 2 performance filters to get the result, and was wondering if there is a way to filter all %price declines regardless the timeframe, by a single screener preset.

If you're looking for the biggest declines across all timeframes, you should be comparing the 52-Week High against the current price. You can actually sort by that value. http://finviz.com/screener.ashx?v=171&ft=1&ta=1&p=d&o=high52w&r=1or use the 52-Week high filter. 52-Week High: 50%+ bellow Avg. volume: 1m+ http://finviz.com/screener.ashx?v=211&f=sh_avgvol_o1000,ta_highlow52w_b50h&ft=4&ta=0&p=w&r=1
