ShortBus, advanced fundamental screening is going to be part of the premium content. This particular filter will definitely be implemented in some way.

Alex: Somehow I am happy about that, but at the same time not happy. Clearly there is a need for this filter now, while stocks are still trading at thier cash valuations (with no debts), before they get taken over in in a "land grab" for all that cash.

I am glad it is coming, but not useful to me as finviz has no premium content.

AMAZING: I have not found any website or source which is publicly available which can filter stocks where the cash per share is greater than the share price. The closest that I have found is google finance, which has a cash/share filter, but I then have to do a manual comparison of all the stocks, as there is no export results feature. However the cash/share filter IS USELESS without being able to compare it to the share price or debt levels, so I do not know why they bothered.

I will keep searching

OK, I know I got an answer from Alex, but F*%$ it, I want this feature NOW. There are now heaps of stocks that trade below thier cash/share level. Even just the ability to export the information and I will filter it in excel or google docs.

The only thing that is a caution here is that the "cash" as displayed on finviz can sometimes actually not be pure cash, depends on how the cash is actually sitting in the books, sometimes it is near cash or investments that are "cash like", short term securities.

COME ON, I want this feature now. I will even program it for you if you let me get access to your database.

Alex:

I could use this feature too. When will the premium content be available and how much will it cost? You didn't answer this question when I asked several months ago so are we closer? I want live quotes and hate to look at old, stale info. We want to give you money for more features.

if so needed, we can add the cash filter now.
More information on premium content will be announced as soon as it becomes available.

Alex,
Yes! Please do add that feature now. In today's market it is a valuable information to have while screening.
Thanks for all the good work.

Thanks Alex. Now the real work begins in figuring out how real these cash figures are.
